After a great 2 years at loft its time to move on . From my side I would like to thank Monty and the rest off the Loft team for there help and support in the last 2 years. Its been great racing on the Lofts but the negotiations didn't run smoothly and it was time for change . I was looking for a bit more off a long term thing to really work with a brand without the stress at the end of the season and wIth Gaastra we found a solution for a longer term agreement together with good sails and this is the path to follow for me for the coming years.
I went to try the 2013 designs of Gaastra in France with Cedric . I was very surprised on the performance of the new sails , they are really working well . As ross mentioned it took a few years to get perfect sails but now the sails are working amazing and the development program is running smoothly.
Gaastra and I have been in contact a few times in the past to join the team but at that time I was not ready to join the team now after a few years of good results I am very happy to join the Gaastra international team and test ,train ,develop and race alongside Ross, Cedric and the rest off the team . As Gaastra still is a little bit off a Dutch thing with the Sneek towers in the logo and there heritage is from there I found that Gaastra a nice place to continue my career and pre sue my dream of becoming the best.
